The only stick KNOW of that came with a 4BT attached is the SAE version out now. The Ford/GM versions were retrofit engines to existing chassis/drivelines. They were 4 speeds only. (covered in stickies). No Chrysler sticked 4BTs-they only came with 6BTs.The reason to use the 4L60E is packaging. the 700R4/4L60E is the smallest package for short wheel base vehicles (like a CJ, Bronco, or Scout). So if you want a driveshaft that is long enough to give a decent suspension travel, this is the best "fit", physically. I talked with the G.M. at Bow Tie Overdrives yesterday.
