Supposedly you can "Cheese" Darkeater Midir with the Pestilent Mercury spell. If you don't have it, this is how you get it. I considered my options, and it was either going with a raw infused weapon, a lightning build, or Pestilent Mist. I'd failed to beat Midir with a STR build on a previous playthrough, so a raw weapon was unlikely to get better results, and with only 40 Faith a lightning build was likely to be similarly lackluster.
